Class A commercial office high-rises and institutional headquarters, Mixed-use luxury residential towers and hotel facades
01. TECHNICAL OVERVIEW & ENGINEERING CHARACTERISTICS
Curtain walling systems engineered in accordance with SR EN 13830:2015. Available as stick-built systems (montanți și rigle) or prefabricated unitized elements (elemente vitrate modulare). Designed to resist positive/negative wind pressures (up to 2400 Pa), dynamic water penetration, inter-story seismic building drift (P100-1), and thermal expansion.
02. CONSTITUENTS & MANUFACTURING SPECIFICATION
- ▸Extruded structural aluminium alloy EN AW-6060 / 6063 T6 profiles with thermal break polyamide bars (24-54mm)
- ▸High-performance triple-glazed insulating units with Low-E and solar control coatings
- ▸EPDM perimeter weather seals and pressure plates
✓ ADVANTAGES & STRENGTHS
- •Maximizes natural daylight penetration and panoramic exterior views
- •Unitized systems enable rapid off-site quality assembly and high-speed crane installation without external scaffolding
- •Engineered expansion joints accommodate seismic inter-story drifts without glass fracture
⚠ LIMITATIONS & RISK FACTORS
- •High capital expenditure per square meter of building envelope
- •Requires careful solar control glass specification (g-value ≤ 0.35) to avoid excessive summer cooling loads and indoor glare
- •Demands specialized periodic facade maintenance and exterior window cleaning cradles (BMU systems)
